Confirm, attest, then publish later.
RateMyDOT uses a confirmed account to limit duplicate reports, then separates that account from the report before publication.
How the process works
- A driver chooses a carrier and signs in with a confirmed email. We do not ask for a name or phone number.
- The driver writes a self-attested report. We do not request employment, payroll, or banking documents.
- The system issues a blind one-time credential. It does not reveal the later report to the account service.
- The report passes safety checks and publishes in a batch, not alone.
- A one-time link controls later edits or withdrawal. The driver account does not.
The tradeoff is stated up front
RateMyDOT does not know which account wrote which review. Account exports cannot include reviews, and account deletion does not remove them. Lose the one-time link and no one can recover control of that report.
